After admitting I had PPD, I  looked around and realized God gave us an incredible life and we might as well go live it to the fullest; imperfections and all.

 This blog is all about living life, experiencing motherhood, and loving your imperfections, while thanking God throughout the entire journey.

Friend, I’m sorry if you’ve ever been told this. Friend, I’m sorry if you’ve ever been told this. I prayed for my baby to be alive and healthy. I prayed BOLDLY. It didn’t get answered. I prayed for my loved one to be found safe and without harm. I prayed continuously. It didn’t get answered. When we tell people this advice we don’t give them hope and comfort we leave them defeated, hurt, and filled with thoughts of “I didn’t do enough.” *cue trauma.* There are some things I’m never gonna get the answer to. And we can get into days long talks about the nitty gritty, (it’s why I wrote an entire chapter in my book about this!) but for a short caption I need you to know this: Sometimes sin happens and our prayers don’t get answered the way we want them to and it’s not because you’re a bad Christian or you didn’t pray or you didn’t do xyz. I still ask “why” almost daily. But after years of reading the Bible and going to therapy, I can lay that question at Jesus’ feet and surrender that I won’t know this lifetime, but I do know those things didn’t happen because I was “too weak” in my prayers. 🫶🏻If you’re imperfect like me and you don’t have all the answers like me, but you want to cling to Jesus follow along.
