Welcome, Friend!

I’m Faith, a silent-laughing mom of two babies under three.

After admitting I had PPD, I  looked around and realized God gave us an incredible life and we might as well go live it to the fullest; imperfections and all.

This blog is all about living life, experiencing motherhood, and loving your imperfections, while thanking God throughout the entire journey.

Here you’ll find encouragement on mental health issues such as: Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, Overwhelm, Shame, and Mom Guilt.

Mama, you are never alone.

Look at the Holy Spirit working in me 👏🏻🙌 Look at the Holy Spirit working in me 👏🏻🙌🩷

Call it lessons from my trauma.
Call it years in therapy.
Call it doing the inner work.

And the Holy Spirit is working through all of that!

Mama, it’s okay to stand up and voice your needs. It’s okay to put your family first in a world that guilts you if you do.

Not going to lie, voicing my thoughts and needs used to freak me out and panic would ensue, now I’m still nervous, but I’m also so proud of myself! 🙌🎉

It was Bereaved Mother’s Day, yesterday. 🩷 I It was Bereaved Mother’s Day, yesterday. 🩷

I didn’t even know this day existed until I was getting our sign ready for maternity photos with our rainbow baby. 🌈

Losing a child is something that I don’t wish on anyone.

Honestly, I had this all drafted up for yesterday and I still couldn’t post it because I felt my grief wasn’t “enough”.

“People lose their babies outside the womb.”
“People have lost more than one.”
“God has blessed me with a rainbow baby, when others haven’t.”

I gaslighted myself the entire night. 🫣🤦🏼‍♀️

Yet, in the quiet of this morning, as I felt my rainbow baby kicking, Jesus reminded me that this grief is still valid.

It doesn’t look the same as everyone and that’s okay.

Grief is grief. All of it is valid.

Mama, Jesus sees us and He has us. God is still faithful.

You are never alone. 🩷

I can hear the “Never, me” already! 😂 A le I can hear the “Never, me” already! 😂

A lesson Jesus has been teaching me, through God’s Word, is how much I’ve made things into an idol.

Planning my life perfectly out? Yep.
Thinking my serving of the church was more important than serving my family? Yep.
Acting like our success was more from me and smart choices than God? Yep.

I could keep going.
One day, I’ll probably write more on this. 😂

But, as I was expressing these thoughts to a friend, this phrase came out.

Isn’t it wild how the Holy Spirit will convict you right in the middle of a Tuesday? 😂

Friend, may we live according to God’s Will, not ours.

Motherhood is teaching me just how much so many things are little things.

Could I be angry? Sure.
Does that help? No.

Here’s to letting little things, and little kids, be little.

Thankful for this Man 🙌🩷 Nothing is more at Thankful for this Man 🙌🩷

Nothing is more attractive than watching your husband serve God, his family, and his neighbors.

Since the day our first baby came home Preston has spoken life to our kids.

He created an entire lullaby song to sing, nightly, to them about their identity in Jesus and how much they are loved.

He’s spoken words of Affirmation over them nightly.

He’s prayed over them.
He’s encouraged and uplifted them.
He has shown them healthy coping skills and practices apologies and forgiveness with them.

He’s set the example of what it means to honor God with our words and our actions.

I’m forever thankful for the Holy Spirit working through this man. 🩷

Not me trying to keep up with the Joneses. Curre Not me trying to keep up with the Joneses.

Currently, I’m getting wrapped up in societal expectations and all the things that come with the end of a school year.

Yet, how my child does on a test.
How many summer camps they join.
How well she can read or what their outfits look like doesn’t matter.

Jesus matters.
What Jesus did for them matters.

So, as I sit here convicted, I’m going to take a deep breath and reset.

I’m going to show myself grace and remind myself that the Holy Spirit is still working.

Because this is what matters.
Their relationship with Jesus.

Mama, I pray you join me in slowing down and soaking in the promises of God. 🩷
