Welcome, Friend!

I’m Faith, a silent-laughing mom of two babies under three.

After admitting I had PPD, I  looked around and realized God gave us an incredible life and we might as well go live it to the fullest; imperfections and all.

This blog is all about living life, experiencing motherhood, and loving your imperfections, while thanking God throughout the entire journey.

Here you’ll find encouragement on mental health issues such as: Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, Overwhelm, Shame, and Mom Guilt.

Mama, you are never alone.

Even if….I will praise Him 🙌 A few weeks bac Even if….I will praise Him 🙌

A few weeks back, we went to a pottery painting place.

I chose a vase and painted forget me not flowers to honor my grief over the loss of our baby.

In true perfectionism, I wanted it to be “perfect”.

Yet, as I went to turn the vase, my nail scraped the vase and created an imperfection.

At first, I thought “Are you serious? I’m trying to heal here and this has to happen? 🤦🏼‍♀️”

Yet, Jesus reminded me of the tradition of any imperfection being painted in gold and the ancient tradition of catching tears in jars.

I immediately started to tear up.

This started as a vase to hold flowers, but now I was looking at it as a place to hold my tears.

A reminder that Jesus has us. That there are going to be moments of grief and turmoil, but Jesus will not leave us there.

There is a joy. A golden moment if you will. 😉

Friend, wherever you are in your healing journey. Please know, Jesus is with you.

We may not get our moment until Heaven, but nonetheless, Jesus is with us every step of the way.

You are never alone 🩷

This feeling 🥰 The closer we get to baby comin This feeling 🥰

The closer we get to baby coming, the more Z becomes attached.

Hugs. Cuddles. Pats on my back. Pats on my leg. Rubbing my hair.

He’s always been touchy with me, but the last few days it’s been even more.

So today, I’ll be soaking in these moments of connection.

Did your babies ever get even more attached before you gave birth?

Look at the Holy Spirit working in me 👏🏻🙌 Look at the Holy Spirit working in me 👏🏻🙌🩷

Call it lessons from my trauma.
Call it years in therapy.
Call it doing the inner work.

And the Holy Spirit is working through all of that!

Mama, it’s okay to stand up and voice your needs. It’s okay to put your family first in a world that guilts you if you do.

Not going to lie, voicing my thoughts and needs used to freak me out and panic would ensue, now I’m still nervous, but I’m also so proud of myself! 🙌🎉

It was Bereaved Mother’s Day, yesterday. 🩷 I It was Bereaved Mother’s Day, yesterday. 🩷

I didn’t even know this day existed until I was getting our sign ready for maternity photos with our rainbow baby. 🌈

Losing a child is something that I don’t wish on anyone.

Honestly, I had this all drafted up for yesterday and I still couldn’t post it because I felt my grief wasn’t “enough”.

“People lose their babies outside the womb.”
“People have lost more than one.”
“God has blessed me with a rainbow baby, when others haven’t.”

I gaslighted myself the entire night. 🫣🤦🏼‍♀️

Yet, in the quiet of this morning, as I felt my rainbow baby kicking, Jesus reminded me that this grief is still valid.

It doesn’t look the same as everyone and that’s okay.

Grief is grief. All of it is valid.

Mama, Jesus sees us and He has us. God is still faithful.

You are never alone. 🩷

I can hear the “Never, me” already! 😂 A le I can hear the “Never, me” already! 😂

A lesson Jesus has been teaching me, through God’s Word, is how much I’ve made things into an idol.

Planning my life perfectly out? Yep.
Thinking my serving of the church was more important than serving my family? Yep.
Acting like our success was more from me and smart choices than God? Yep.

I could keep going.
One day, I’ll probably write more on this. 😂

But, as I was expressing these thoughts to a friend, this phrase came out.

Isn’t it wild how the Holy Spirit will convict you right in the middle of a Tuesday? 😂

Friend, may we live according to God’s Will, not ours.
