Welcome, Friend!

I’m Faith, a silent-laughing mom of two babies under three.

After admitting I had PPD, I  looked around and realized God gave us an incredible life and we might as well go live it to the fullest; imperfections and all.

This blog is all about living life, experiencing motherhood, and loving your imperfections, while thanking God throughout the entire journey.

Here you’ll find encouragement on mental health issues such as: Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, Overwhelm, Shame, and Mom Guilt.

Mama, you are never alone.

Shout to my therapist for this hack 👏🏻👏🏻 When our Shout to my therapist for this hack 👏🏻👏🏻

When our brains start to spiral into fear, this is a simple, easy way to help our brains ground into the present moment.

When you intentionally look for and count shapes (circles, squares, rectangles), you activate the logical part of your brain (your prefrontal cortex).
That helps quiet the emotional alarm center.

You’re basically telling your nervous system:
“I am safe. I am here.”

So next time you find yourself starting to panic, try this out.

Fun fact: 14 rectangles in a bathroom stall 🫠🫠🫣

Yah, it’s a no from me dawg. 🫠 Is there truth to Yah, it’s a no from me dawg. 🫠

Is there truth to that statement? Yes.
Is it good to bring in perspective? Yes.

But if you’re gonna invalidate my hard and gaslight me when I’m running on two hours of sleep and my “day off” was filled with tantrums and breaking up sibling fights, I’m gonna respectfully say “No, thanks!”

Both can be true.
I can remember and savor this time period, but I can also admit that I’m completely overstimulated because I just listened to screaming for having them eat veggies, not sugar.

Thankful that I’ve found tools, and mindset shifts, to help me in the middle of these moments. Not to push it aside, but to work through it in a healthy way.
